General Provisions

General Provisions

Hainan Airlines kindly advises you that we will inspect your baggage during check-in and boarding. Please make sure to check in overweight, oversized, and additional pieces of baggage at the check-in counter. In the event that your baggage exceeds the free baggage allowance, you will be required to pay the excess baggage fees, and your baggage will be placed in the cargo hold of the aircraft.

Checked baggage that is temporarily handled at the gate for domestic outbound flights can only be transported after a second security check. To guarantee that your baggage arrives at your destination on the same flight, please make sure to check in your excess baggage at the check-in counter before to avoid any disruptions to your subsequent itineraries.

To ensure the safety of your flight, please place your carry-on baggage either in the overhead bin or under the seat directly in front of you. Carry-on baggage of passengers seated in the emergency exit and their vicinity (including the wing exit and the first row of seats in the cabin) shall be placed in the overhead bin to facilitate a smooth evacuation in case of an emergency.
