Notification for International Flight

Dear passengers,

In the case of Hainan Airlines international flight cancellations, flight departure delays, flights departure ahead of schedule, itinerary changes, cabin class changes, or if the carrier is unable to operate the original flight, involuntary changes or involuntary refunds may be processed in accordance with the following regulations:

I. Involuntary Change

1. If you are on an international/regional flight of Hainan Airlines, and your ticket is changed involuntarily for any reason not attributed to Hainan Airlines, the following provisions will apply during the valid period of your ticket:

(1) If a subsequent international flight of Hainan Airlines with the earliest available seat and the same service level as your original ticket is arranged for you, you will not have to pay the ticket change fee, fare difference and tax difference.

(2) If you change to a subsequent international flight with the earliest available seat and the same service level as your original ticket of a member company of Hainan Airlines Group with the consent of the relevant carrier, you will not have to pay the ticket change fee, fare difference and tax difference.

(3) If you need to change to a subsequent international flight of an airline company other than a member company of Hainan Airlines Group, we will handle it according to the general conditions of transportation and the conditions for ticket use applicable to your ticket, and the ticket change fee, fare difference and tax difference so incurred will be borne by you.

2. If you are on an international/regional flight of Hainan Airlines, and your ticket is changed involuntarily for any reason attributed to Hainan Airlines, the following provisions will apply during the valid period of your ticket:

(1) If a subsequent international flight of Hainan Airlines with the earliest available seat and the same service level as your original ticket is arranged for you, you will not have to pay the ticket change fee, fare difference and tax difference.

(2) If you change to a subsequent international flight with the earliest available seat and the same service level as your original ticket of any other airline company with the consent of the relevant carrier, you will not have to pay the ticket change fee, fare difference and tax difference.

3. If you request a further change or refund on your own account after confirming the new flight and completing the involuntary ticket change procedure, the provisions on voluntary change or refund will apply.

4. After you confirm the new flight and go through the involuntary change procedures for your ticket, the relevant transportation rules shall be subject to the actual carrier listed on the ticket, including but not limited to: ticket usage conditions, boarding rules, ground and air service standards, etc.

II. Involuntary Refund

If the international/regional flight of Hainan Airlines taken by you becomes irregular, you may apply for involuntary refund within the refund period. The following provisions will apply:

1. If your ticket is completely unused, the paid fare (Tax included) will be refunded to you in full without collecting the refund fee;

2. If your ticket has been partly used, the fare and taxes corresponding to the used segment will be deducted from the paid amount. However, the refunded amount should not exceed the paid amount, and the balance will be refunded to you without collecting the refund fee.

III. Ticket with Connecting Flight

1. For any ticket with connecting flight for two or more flights set out in a single contract of transportation, if any flight of Hainan Airlines among these flights becomes irregular, so that you are unable to complete the entire itinerary on schedule:

(1) For any irregular segment, the relevant change and transfer procedures will be handled according to the involuntary change rules specified in Section I above, or the relevant refund procedure will be handled according to the involuntary refund rules specified in Section II above.

(2) If your seat on a regular segment has been cancelled before Hainan Airlines releases irregular segment information on any flight delay, cancellation, etc., the relevant procedures will be handled for such regular segment according to your conditions for ticket use, and any expense so incurred will be borne by you.

(3) If your seat on a regular segment has been cancelled after Hainan Airlines releases irregular segment information on any flight delay, cancellation, etc., for such regular segment, the relevant change and transfer procedures will be handled according to the involuntary change rules specified in Section I above, or the relevant refund procedure will be handled according to the involuntary refund rules specified in Section II above.

2. Except connecting flight tickets mentioned above, if the segments of any other multi-segment ticket purchased by you are under different transportation contracts, when any flight of Hainan Airlines becomes irregular while the other flights are regular, for the ticket for such irregular flight of Hainan Airlines, the relevant change and transfer procedures will be handled according to the involuntary change rules specified in Section I above, or the relevant refund procedure will be handled according to the involuntary refund rules specified in Section II above. The relevant procedures will be handled for the tickets for the other regular flights according to the voluntary refund and change provisions, and any expense so incurred will be borne by you.

IV. Relevant Instructions

1. The definitions of "flight cancellation," "flight departure delay," and "flight departure ahead of schedule" in this notice are as follows:

(1) "Flight cancellation" means that a flight plan is cancelled due to an expected flight delay or a delay.

(2) "Flight departure delay" refers to the situation where the adjusted "flight scheduled departure time" or the actual departure and unblocking time of the flight is more than 15 minutes later than the "flight scheduled departure time" listed on the ticket.

(3) "Flight departure ahead of schedule" refers to situations where the rescheduled departure time is more than 15 minutes earlier than the originally scheduled departure time indicated on the ticket.

2. The member companies of Hainan Airlines Group refer to Grand China Air, Capital Airlines, Tianjin Airlines, Hongkong Airlines, Lucky Air, West Air, Guangxi Beibu Gulf Airlines, Fuzhou Airlines, Urumqi Airlines, Air Changan, and Suparna Airlines.

3. A subsequent flight means a flight with the earliest available seat.

4. We will handle any product ticket purchased by you according to the product rules, and the refund and change provisions for the product will be subject to the refund and change provisions agreed on in advance.

5. Unless otherwise specified, if you have cancelled your reservation voluntarily or missed a flight for any non-carrier reason before Hainan Airlines releases irregular flight information on any flight delay, cancellation, etc., the subsequent refund and change procedures will be handled according to the conditions for ticket use.

6. You may handle self-service ticket change through the official website of Hainan Airlines, the Hainan Airlines app, the WeChat official account of Hainan Airlines, the Hainan Airlines WeChat mini-program or an SMS link. 7. Other matters will be handled according to the applicable provisions of the General Conditions of International Passenger and Baggage Transportation of Hainan Airlines.

8. This notice will take effect from January 29, 2026, and applies to tickets sold on or after January 29, 2026 (inclusive).

I. Scope of application

For applications to change or refund tickets submitted after 00:00 (inclusive) on January 26, 2026 (based on the reservation cancellation time), all tickets issued or reissued using 880 international ticket stock before 12:00 (inclusive) on January 26, 2026 (including tickets redeemed with points), with itineraries involving Japan-bound or Japan-departure flights operated by Hainan Airlines scheduled between March 29, 2026 (inclusive) and October 24, 2026 (inclusive), are subject to the following policy.

II. Change and refund policy

(I) Ticket change

Within the validity period of the ticket, the first change to a Hainan Airlines-operated flight on the same routing and same cabin class is exempt from the change fee; any fare difference will be charged according to regulations. Subsequent changes will be processed in accordance with the applicable ticket rules.

(II) Ticket refund

Within the validity period of the ticket, passengers may request a refund for any unused flight segments at the original place of purchase, with no refund fee charged. In case of a refund for a ticket that has already been changed according to the principles outlined in this notice, it will be processed according to the ticket’s terms and conditions of use.

(III) To make any of the above changes or request a refund, reserved seats must be cancelled prior to the scheduled departure time of the flight.

III. Miscellaneous

(I) Tickets that do not meet the above applicable conditions will be processed according to the ticket conditions.

(II) This notice takes effect from 18:00 on January 26, 2026 (GMT+8). This policy does not apply to tickets for which refunds or changes have been completed prior to the effective time of this notice.

According to a comprehensive assessment by Guangzhou Baiyun Airport, the terminal adjustment for domestic operations at Guangzhou Baiyun Airport, originally scheduled to begin on January 22, 2026, will be postponed until after the 2026 Spring Festival travel season. After purchasing your ticket, if you are unable to travel on the flight specified in your ticket due to health reasons such as illness, you may request a change or refund according to the following rules.

I. Scope of Application

The international and regional routes actually carried by Hainan Airlines, which are filled out by Hainan Airlines International Transport Certificate.

II. Handling Regulations

(I) After purchasing a ticket, if a passenger cannot travel on the flight listed on the ticket due to health reasons such as illness and requests a change or refund, he/she must cancel the reserved seat before the scheduled departure time of the flight.

(II) Relevant supporting materials for refunds or change due to illness must be submitted no later than 2 months (inclusive) after the flight takes off. The electronic version of the supporting materials shall be based on the time when the materials are sent, and the mailed copies shall be based on the postmark of the receiving place.

(III) If the reservation is not canceled as required or if the relevant information cannot be provided on time, it shall be processed according to the rules for voluntary changes or voluntary refunds for ordinary passengers.

III. Supporting Materials and Requirements for Refund or Change Due to Illness

(I) Supporting materials provided

1. A valid ID provided by the passenger when purchasing the ticket.

2. A true and valid diagnosis certificate issued by a medical institution, medical record or discharge summary (hospitalization certificate), etc.

3. A fee invoice of not less than 200 yuan (inclusive) issued by a medical institution or a detailed list of hospitalization fees with an official seal.

(II) Requirements for supporting materials

1. A true and valid diagnosis certificate, medical record or discharge summary (hospitalization certificate), etc. issued by the same medical institution recognized by Hainan Airlines and signed by the attending physician or stamped by the hospital (excluding medical materials for physical examination). The medical institution shall meet the following requirements:

(1) Hospitals and their subordinate medical institutions that can be found on the website of the National Health Commission (excluding non-hospital subordinate institutions, such as school outpatient departments, corporate medical outpatient departments, etc.). (2) Military-affiliated medical institutions.

(3) Medical diagnosis certificates from outside China or Hong Kong (China), Macao (China) and Taiwan (China) regions must be issued by regular hospitals or practicing physicians.

2. Fee invoice

(1) A verifiable, true and valid fee invoice issued by the same medical institution recognized by Hainan Airlines, with an invoice amount of not less than RMB 200 (inclusive). The fee invoice items include: medicine fees/treatment fees/various examination fees/hospitalization fees, etc. Only providing registration fees/consultation fees/medical service fees is regarded as incomplete information. Hospitalized passengers can also provide a detailed list of hospitalization charges and a hospitalization certificate or hospitalization notice with an official seal for processing.

(2) Military personnel or their family members receiving medical treatment at military hospitals may provide relevant examination reports or prescriptions, along with military identification materials, as a substitute for the fee invoice if they are unable to provide it. Military family members are required to provide proof of military affiliation.

(3) Medical treatment at medical institutions outside of China and in Hong Kong (China), Macao (China) and Taiwan (China) regions must be accompanied by a true and valid payment receipt.

3. The date of issuance and printing of the relevant medical certificate must be after the ticket purchase date (including the day of ticket purchase) and within 21 days (inclusive) before the scheduled departure time of the flight (starting from the travel date of the first segment of the unused segment of the ticket).

Note: If your medical certificate is issued after submitting a voluntary refund or voluntary change, it will be processed in accordance with the ticket usage conditions.

Hainan Airlines will review the documentation for illness-related refunds and changes. Tickets will be processed as voluntary refunds or voluntary changes for those who provide false invoices, invalid invoices, or fake medical records. If additional qualifying supporting materials are submitted later, requests for sickness-related refunds or changes will not be processed.

IV. Ticket Change and Refund Regulations

(I) Upon our review, those that meet the criteria for illness-related refunds or changes:

1. For illness-related ticket refunds: For completely unused tickets, the refund will be processed without any cancellation fee, and the fare and taxes will be returned to the passenger. For partially used tickets, the refundable amount will be calculated according to the voluntary refund rules, deducting the fare and taxes applicable to the segments already traveled. No cancellation fee will be charged, and the remaining balance will be refunded to the passenger. Refunds for illness require the application for all unused segments simultaneously; partial segment refunds are not allowed.

2. For illness-related changes: The first change is free of charge. However, any fare or tax differences will need to be paid. Additional changes beyond the first one will be processed according to the voluntary change rules for ordinary passengers.

(II) Provisions on refund and change for accompanying passengers of ill travelers

Accompanying passengers refer to individuals whose travel segments, flights, and travel dates are exactly the same as those of the ill traveler. Accompanying passengers of ill travelers who meet the following conditions may process refunds or changes due to illness.

1. Accompanying passengers of ill travelers requesting refunds or changes must process their requests simultaneously and at the same location as the ill traveler, and they must also meet the requirement of having canceled their seats before the scheduled departure time of the flight. The limit for accompanying passengers of each ill traveler is 2.

2. Accompanying passengers may be increased to a maximum of 5 (inclusive) if they meet one of the following conditions, and they must process their requests simultaneously and at the same location as the ill traveler, while also meeting the requirement of having canceled their seats before the flight departure.

(1) On the same PNR as the ill traveler.

(2) Tickets must be purchased through Hainan Airlines' online channels (official website, APP, WeChat mini-program, WeChat public account, etc.) or through Hainan Airlines customer service hotline, and they must be under the same order as the ill traveler.

(3) Linked to the ticket number of the ill traveler.

(4) Relatives of the ill traveler who are listed on the same identification document (such as household registration book, marriage certificate, birth certificate, only child certificate, or property certificate).

(5) Group tickets purchased through the Hainan Airlines group sales system require proof of relatives listed on the same identification document as the ill traveler (such as household registration book, marriage certificate, birth certificate, only child certificate, or property certificate) in order to process illness-related refunds for up to 5 (inclusive) accompanying passengers.

4. Tickets purchased by the ill traveler and accompanying passengers through the same sales channel can be refunded at the original point of sale; if the tickets were purchased through different sales channels, they must contact Hainan Airlines' direct ticketing office to process the refunds simultaneously. If the ill traveler and accompanying passengers are unable to process the refunds simultaneously and at the same location, the refunds will be processed as voluntary refunds. The ill traveler and accompanying passengers must process their changes simultaneously and at the same location, and the revised itineraries must be exactly the same (including the same segments, flights, and dates).

V. Handling Channels

1. For illness-related refunds: The original point of sale, Hainan Airlines' direct sales offices, and the Hainan Airlines customer service hotline.

2. For illness-related changes: Hainan Airlines' direct sales offices and the Hainan Airlines customer service hotline.

VI. Tickets that do not meet the above rules will be processed according to the voluntary refund and voluntary change policies for ordinary passengers.

VII. Hainan Airlines will verify the authenticity and validity of the materials related to illness-related refunds and changes. In cases of material fraud, Hainan Airlines reserves the right to hold the listed passengers accountable for the illness-related refunds and changes. At the same time, Hainan Airlines may request passengers to provide additional supporting materials as needed for the verification process. If passengers refuse or are unable to provide such materials, their requests will be processed as voluntary refunds or changes.

VIII. This regulation will take effect from September 10, 2025 (date of processing). In the event of any inconsistencies between the illness-related refund and change policies and this regulation, this regulation shall prevail.

If a passenger buys a ticket of a stopover, transit or connecting flight on the UK route, he/she will complete the boarding procedure for the whole itinerary at a time upon check-in, and check his/her baggage directly to the final destination at a time. 2. Baggage transit restrictions

The baggage subject to through check-in will enter a country at such country's first point of entry under the supervision of the local customs. 3. No unauthorized interruption during the itinerary

2. Companions of sick passengers

2) If any of the following conditions is met, the number of companions can be increased to five. When you find that you have booked any ticket incorrectly, the following rules will apply.

An incorrectly booked ticket means a ticket where the flight or document information is entered incorrectly, or two or more repeatedly booked ticket where the flight and document information is completely consistent.

Flight information means itinerary, flight number and flight date.

Document information means the name specified on a valid identity document, and its type, number, valid period and issuing country, and its holder's nationality, gender and date of birth.

I. Scope of application

This announcement applies to international and regional routes actually operated by Hainan Airlines as indicated on international transportation certificates issued by Hainan Airlines, but does not apply to group tickets.

II. Handling provisions

(I) Rules for handling tickets with incorrect document information

Passenger names and document information entered incorrectly at the time of ticketing may be corrected according to the following rules.

1. Scope of free change of passenger names

The ticket's status should be "OPEN FOR USE". The number of characters allowed to be changed in a Chinese pinyin or English name should not exceed three (English letters), but this restriction will not apply provided that the same passenger can be judged. This includes without limitation the following cases:

(1) There is a reversal in the Chinese pinyin or English first and last names (a reversal between the first and last names or in the first name);

(2) The English first and middle names are reserved, or the middle name is missing at the time of booking;

(3) The spelling in Taiwan or Hong Kong pinyin of a name differs from that in Chinese pinyin; for example, "LIQIAN" can be changed to "LEEQIAN";

(4) The name is repeated, including partial repetition of the first and last names or the first or last name, etc., such as CHENYI/CHENYI and CHEN/CHENYI;

(5) A "slash" is inserted into an English name incorrectly, or an integral name (not divided into first and last names) is divided at the time of booking; for example, the original name AUCHMANMODE is entered incorrectly as AUCH/MANMODE at the time of booking, which can be changed to AUCHMANMODE/MR;

(6) The gender designation is entered incorrectly; for example: "WANG/SHAN MR" is changed to "WANG/SHAN MISS";

(7) The former name is to be changed, or the passenger uses or disuses her husband's surname where the passenger presents a reasonable and relevant evidentiary material between the new and old names.

2. Provisions on free name change for passengers

(1) Your ticket's document number has not been changed, and your ticket's status is "OPEN FOR USE". After the name is changed, the document number should not be changed.

(2) A ticket that falls within the above scope of name change may be subject to one free name change; for a ticket that has already undergone a name change, changing the name again will be handled as voluntary refund.

3. Provisions on other changes to passenger document information

If the passenger name of a ticket is correct and has not been changed, but the other document information is partly incorrect, the passenger may contact Hainan Airlines for a change. Hainan Airlines may change any two items of the document's number, valid period and issuing country, and the holder's nationality, gender and date of birth for free but only once after verifying that the new document information provided by the passenger is authentic and valid, provided that such change should not exceed three characters. The passenger's name should not be changed after the identity information is changed.

(II) Refund rules for tickets with incorrect flight information

If any flight information (e.g., flight voyage, flight number, flight date) provided at time of booking is incorrect due to the passenger's mistake, etc., and the following conditions are met, free refund may be handled for the incorrectly booked ticket:

1. The booked seat on the incorrectly booked ticket has been cancelled, and a correct ticket of a Hainan Airlines flight has been rebooked within 24 hours after ticketing.

2. The fare (excluding tax) of the rebooked ticket should not be lower than that of the incorrectly booked ticket.

3. Only if the passenger has rebooked a correct ticket of a Hainan Airlines flight and started his/her itinerary can free refund be handled for the incorrectly booked ticket.

For any ticket that does not meet the above conditions, or any incorrectly booked ticket that has undergone a ticket change or check-in, or has been partly used, the voluntary refund rules will apply.

(III) Refund rules for repeatedly booked tickets

If a passenger books two or more tickets on the same flight of Hainan Airlines on the same date (including the case where the single-trip and round-trip tickets booked by a passenger have any identical flight and are both unused), one repeatedly booked ticket may be refunded for free according to the following provisions. If any other repeatedly booked ticket is to be refunded, the voluntary refund rules will apply:

1. For repeatedly booked tickets, one of them may be refunded for free 24 hours or more before the scheduled departure time of the flight. If the tickets have the same fare, the passenger may file a free refund application with the original issuer; if the tickets have different fares, the passenger can only file a free refund application for the last booked ticket with the original issuer.

2. After a passenger starts his/her itinerary, he/she can file a free refund application with the original issuer for any repeatedly booked ticket that is completely unused and meets the above requirements only.

Special note: The refund rules for repeated ticket purchase do not apply to any passenger type change (e.g., changing from regular passenger to international student passenger, or from international student passenger to regular passenger).

III. Handling channels

IV. For tickets that do not comply with the above rules, the voluntary change or refund rules will apply.

I. Involuntary Change

1. If you are on an international/regional flight of Hainan Airlines, and your ticket is changed involuntarily for any reason not attributed to Hainan Airlines, the following provisions will apply during the valid period of your ticket:

(1) If a subsequent international flight of Hainan Airlines with the earliest available seat and the same service level as your original ticket is arranged for you, you will not have to pay the ticket change fee, fare difference and tax difference.

(2) If you change to a subsequent international flight with the earliest available seat and the same service level as your original ticket of a member company of Hainan Airlines Group with the consent of the relevant carrier, you will not have to pay the ticket change fee, fare difference and tax difference.

(3) If you need to change to a subsequent international flight of an airline company other than a member company of Hainan Airlines Group, we will handle it according to the general conditions of transportation and the conditions for ticket use applicable to your ticket, and the ticket change fee, fare difference and tax difference so incurred will be borne by you.

2. If you are on an international/regional flight of Hainan Airlines, and your ticket is changed involuntarily for any reason attributed to Hainan Airlines, the following provisions will apply during the valid period of your ticket:

(1) If a subsequent international flight of Hainan Airlines with the earliest available seat and the same service level as your original ticket is arranged for you, you will not have to pay the ticket change fee, fare difference and tax difference.

(2) If you change to a subsequent international flight with the earliest available seat and the same service level as your original ticket of any other airline company with the consent of the relevant carrier, you will not have to pay the ticket change fee, fare difference and tax difference.

3. If you request a further change or refund on your own account after confirming the new flight and completing the involuntary ticket change procedure, the provisions on voluntary change or refund will apply.

4. After you confirm the new flight and go through the involuntary change procedures for your ticket, the relevant transportation rules shall be subject to the actual carrier listed on the ticket, including but not limited to: ticket usage conditions, boarding rules, ground and air service standards, etc.

II. Involuntary Refund

If the international/regional flight of Hainan Airlines taken by you becomes irregular, you may apply for involuntary refund within the refund period. The following provisions will apply:

1. If your ticket is completely unused, the paid fare (Tax included) will be refunded to you in full without collecting the refund fee;

2. If your ticket has been partly used, the fare and taxes corresponding to the used segment will be deducted from the paid amount. However, the refunded amount should not exceed the paid amount, and the balance will be refunded to you without collecting the refund fee.

III. Ticket with Connecting Flight

1. For any ticket with connecting flight for two or more flights set out in a single contract of transportation, if any flight of Hainan Airlines among these flights becomes irregular, so that you are unable to complete the entire itinerary on schedule:

(1) For any irregular segment, the relevant change and transfer procedures will be handled according to the involuntary change rules specified in Section I above, or the relevant refund procedure will be handled according to the involuntary refund rules specified in Section II above.

(2) If your seat on a regular segment has been cancelled before Hainan Airlines releases irregular segment information on any flight delay, cancellation, etc., the relevant procedures will be handled for such regular segment according to your conditions for ticket use, and any expense so incurred will be borne by you.

(3) If your seat on a regular segment has been cancelled after Hainan Airlines releases irregular segment information on any flight delay, cancellation, etc., for such regular segment, the relevant change and transfer procedures will be handled according to the involuntary change rules specified in Section I above, or the relevant refund procedure will be handled according to the involuntary refund rules specified in Section II above.

2. Except connecting flight tickets mentioned above, if the segments of any other multi-segment ticket purchased by you are under different transportation contracts, when any flight of Hainan Airlines becomes irregular while the other flights are regular, for the ticket for such irregular flight of Hainan Airlines, the relevant change and transfer procedures will be handled according to the involuntary change rules specified in Section I above, or the relevant refund procedure will be handled according to the involuntary refund rules specified in Section II above. The relevant procedures will be handled for the tickets for the other regular flights according to the voluntary refund and change provisions, and any expense so incurred will be borne by you.

IV. Relevant Instructions

1. In this reminder, "flight cancellation", "flight departure delay", and "flight ahead of schedule" are defined as follows:

(1) "Flight cancellation" means that a flight plan is cancelled due to an expected flight delay or a delay.

(2) "Flight departure delay" refers to the situation where the adjusted "flight scheduled departure time" or the actual departure and unblocking time of the flight is more than 15 minutes later than the "flight scheduled departure time" listed on the ticket.

(3) "Flight ahead of schedule" means that the scheduled departure time of a flight after its schedule is adjusted is earlier than that specified on the ticket.

2. The member companies of Hainan Airlines Group refer to Grand China Air, Capital Airlines, Tianjin Airlines, Hongkong Airlines, Lucky Air, West Air, Guangxi Beibu Gulf Airlines, Fuzhou Airlines, Urumqi Airlines, Air Changan, and Suparna Airlines.

3. A subsequent flight means a flight with the earliest available seat.

4. We will handle any product ticket purchased by you according to the product rules, and the refund and change provisions for the product will be subject to the refund and change provisions agreed on in advance.

5. Unless otherwise specified, if you have cancelled your reservation voluntarily or missed a flight for any non-carrier reason before Hainan Airlines releases irregular flight information on any flight delay, cancellation, etc., the subsequent refund and change procedures will be handled according to the conditions for ticket use.

6. (d) "Flight cancellation" refers to the suspension of a flight due to an anticipated flight delay or the suspension of a flight as a result of a delay.

With your consent and that of the relevant carrier, we shall arrange for your transfer to the next available international flight operated by a member airline of the HNA Group, in the same class of service as your original ticket. There will be no additional charges for ticket changes, fare differences, or tax differences.

3. If you intend to transfer to a subsequent flight operated by a non-HNA-Group airline, we will handle the matter in accordance with the general conditions of carriage and the conditions of use specified in your ticket. Please note that any costs incurred, including ticket change fees, fare, and tax differences, will be your responsibility.

(b) In cases where you are required to change your HNA international/regional flight ticket due to reasons caused by HNA, we will consider your reasonable needs and provide one of the following options within the validity period of your ticket:

1. We will give priority to rescheduling your booking on the earliest available international HNA flight with the same class of service as your original ticket. There will be no additional charges for ticket changes, fare differences, or tax differences.

2. With your consent and that of the relevant carrier, we shall arrange for your transfer to the next available international flight operated by other airlines, in the same class of service as your original ticket. There will be no additional charges for ticket changes, fare differences, or tax differences.

(c) Upon confirmation of the alternative flight and completion of the necessary formalities for an involuntary ticket change, any requests for changes or refunds due to personal reasons will be handled by Hainan Airlines in accordance with the ticket usage conditions of the alternative flight.

III. Involuntary Refunds:

If any irregularities occur during your HNA international/regional flight, you may request an involuntary refund within the ticket refund period. This will be processed in accordance with the following regulations:

(a) If the ticket has not been utilized, a full reimbursement of the ticket price will be issued without any refund charges.

(b) If the ticket has been partially utilized, the fare and taxes for the flight segment that has already been used will be deducted. The remaining portion of the ticket price will be refunded; however, the refund amount will not exceed the original amount paid and no additional refund charges will be imposed.

IV. Multi-Segment Tickets

(a) For a combined ticket encompassing two or more flight segments under a single carriage contract, if an irregularity occurs during one of the HNA international flight segments and results in the inability to complete the entire journey within the agreed-upon time-frame:

1. The irregular flight must adhere to the relevant change and transfer procedures specified in Section II of this article, or follow the relevant refund procedures detailed in Section III of this article.

2. If you intend to cancel your seat reservation prior to HNA's announcement of irregularities, such as flight delays or cancellations, it will be processed as a normal flight in accordance with the usage conditions specified in your ticket, and any expenses incurred will be your responsibility.

3. If you intend to cancel your seat reservation after HNA's announcement of irregularities, such as flight delays or cancellations, it will be processed in accordance with the change and transfer rules specified in Section II of this article, or follow the relevant refund procedures specified in Section III of this article.

(b) In addition to the combined flight tickets mentioned above, if you have purchased multi-segment tickets where each segment falls under a different contract of carriage, and if one of the HNA flights is disrupted while the other flights remain unaffected, the rules for involuntary changes and transfer procedures will apply to the disrupted HNA flight ticket as per Section II of this article.
