Checked Baggage Requirements
To comply with China Customs and CAAC security regulations, please pay attention to the following requirements:
(1)It is strictly prohibited to carry soil, fresh fruits and vegetables, raw or cooked meat, bird's nest, and other items prohibited from entry by China Customs. Failure to declare may result in a fine of up to RMB 3,700.
(2)Items in baggage must be limited to "reasonable quantities for personal use"; any excess is prohibited from import or export and must be truthfully declared to Customs.
(3)According to China Customs regulations, passengers are allowed to bring duty-free: 400 cigarettes, or 20 cigars, or 500 grams of tobacco; two e-cigarette devices, or six pods, or 12 milliliters of e-liquid; and up to two bottles (total volume not exceeding 1.5 liters) of alcoholic beverages containing more than 12% alcohol by volume. For flights arriving from Hong Kong or Macau, the above allowances are reduced by half. Individuals under the age of 18 are not permitted to carry tobacco or alcohol. If your belongings exceed the duty-free allowance, please place them in your carry-on luggage and proactively declare them to customs. Please inform airport staff in advance if you have declared items that need to be checked; in such cases, your boarding passes and checked luggage will only be processed only to the transfer station.
(4)In accordance with CAAC security regulations, it is prohibited to place lighters, matches, lithium batteries, power banks, controlled knives, or other dangerous items in checked baggage. If you are required to open your baggage for inspection, it may interrupt your through-service and result in missed flights.
(5)Carrying liquid items on domestic flights is prohibited (except for personal travel-use cosmetics, toothpaste, and shaving cream). Alcohol and other liquids purchased abroad may need to be re-checked for domestic transfers, which could affect subsequent travel arrangements or result in baggage not arriving on the same flight.
(6)For passengers using the “Through-Check Baggage” service, please ensure that there are no declared or prohibited items in the checked baggage and accurately complete the “Baggage Hands-Free Authorization Form”. Please provide a reachable mobile phone number in Chinese mainland and keep your phone available for customs and security inspection coordination.
