Rules for Membership Upgrade and Retention for Fortune Wing Members

1. Status Qualifying Points(SQPs) represent a percentage of the actual miles flown (including applicable minimum mileage guarantees) based on Hainan Airlines, Grand China Air, Tianjin Airlines, Hong Kong Airlines, Lucky Airlines, Capital Airlines, Fuzhou Airlines, Suparna Airlines, Guangxi Beibu Gulf Airlines, Urumqi Air, Alaska Airlines, Virgin Australia and the booking code purchased. Award points or any other promotional bonus points is not included. SQPs are only used to determine membership status, not redemption.

2. Qualifying flight segments are limited to flights taken that are eligible for basic mileage accrual. For the standard number of qualifying flight segments accumulated, you may refer to the mileage accumulation standards chart of each airline company.

3. The qualification validity of Elite cards (Platinum, Gold, Silver) is indicated on the actual card. Elite Cards must be used by the member personally within the card validity period only. If neither the accrued SQPs nor the accrued SQSs reach the status maintenance standard within the validity period, an automatic drop to the next lower lever will occur until the previous Fortune Wings Card status is reached. Elite members must present a valid Elite card to enjoy the exclusive benefits stated on this page .

4. Fortune Wings Club will carry out an Elite card level upgrade once every day to confirm the Elite membership status of the member. Fortune Wings Elite members will no longer be sent a special card number beginning with 88 and 66. The card number has no relation to the card level, only subject to the valid account within the system.

5. The validity period of Elite membership cards is from the Day the card is issued until the following month of the second year. For example: If on July 1, 2016 the member achieves the Platinum card level, the validity of the card is from July 1, 2016 to August 31, 2017, up to 14 months.

6. Within the validity period of the Elite Card, once the base points or base segments total reaches the level required to maintain an elite membership, elite membership status will immediately be granted for the following period. For example: for Platinum Card members, the validity period for the card is July 2015 to August 2016. When the member reaches the level required to maintain the elite membership within the card validity period, he or she can receive Elite member status for the subsequent period. The validity period is from September 2016 to October 2017 and the card number does not change.

7. Elite member level maintenance basic mileage/qualified flight segment rolling accumulation: Within the validity period of the Elite card, once the basic mileage or qualifying flight segment exceeds the level maintenance standard in the member's mileage account, it can be rolled into the next level maintenance period. For example: For a Gold Card member, when 50 qualifying flight segments have been accumulated (Gold Card level maintenance standard is 4 qualifying flight segments), level maintenance will be successful. The 10 qualifying flight segments that exceeded the level maintenance standard will be counted in the next level maintenance period. A further 10 qualifying flight segments in the following period can be used to achieve Silver Card level or a further 30 qualifying flight segments can be accumulated to achieve a gold card or a further 70 qualifying flight segments can be accumulated to achieve a Platinum Card.

8. The above standards will be implemented from January 1, 2016.
