《Voluntary Refund and Change for Hainan Airlines International Ticket Implementing Rules》

I. Scope of Application

1 These Rules shall come into force from February 14, 2026.

2 These Rules apply to Hainan Airlines international tickets, including those sold before February 14, 2026.

3 The refund and change policies for special fare products shall be governed by the rules of the respective products. When the refund and change policies for special fare products are inconsistent with these rules, the rules of the relevant products shall prevail.

4 These Rules constitute an integral part of Hainan Airlines Holding Co., Ltd. General Conditions of International Carriage for Passengers and Baggage.

II. General Provisions

1 Fees for changes and refunds of international tickets are determined based on the date and time when the change or refund request is made. If there are any special provisions, they will apply specifically.

2 Where these Rules apply, they shall take precedence over other provisions. If not covered in these Rules, applicable provisions of Hainan Airlines Holding Co., Ltd. General Conditions of International Carriage for Passengers and Baggage and the announcements on the official website shall apply.

III. Voluntary Refund

1 If the requirements for voluntary refunds are met, the refundable amount will be calculated as follows:

1.1 If the ticket is wholly unused: Refundable amount = Total ticket price of the ticket requesting refund - Refund fee.

1.2 If the ticket is partially used: Refundable amount = Total ticket price of the ticket requesting refund - Recalculated fare and taxes for any used segments - Refund fee.

1.3 Taxes and fees that are non-refundable under government regulations will be non-refundable.

2 If the total refundable fare calculation is zero or negative, no additional payment is needed, and Hainan Airlines will still refund the taxes and fees for unused segments, except for those that are non-refundable under government regulations.

3 If the ticket has been voluntarily changed before a refund is requested, any change fees already paid will be non-refundable.

4 No refund fee is charged for infant tickets that do not occupy a seat.

5 If an international ticket covers multiple segments and some segments have already been used, when applying for a refund, the fare, relevant taxes and fees for the used segments will be recalculated and deducted. Due to the professionalism and complexity of international fares, the fare, relevant taxes and fees for the same booking class and the same segment may vary depending on the itinerary combination. For partially used tickets, the fare, relevant taxes and fees will be calculated based on our final calculation results.

Note: As an example, when a round-trip ticket is purchased and the outbound segment has been used, the total amount of fare, relevant taxes and fees for the used segment may exceed half of the total fare, relevant taxes and fees paid for the round-trip ticket.

IV. Voluntary Change

1 When changing tickets, including booking seats for tickets with unreserved segments (OPEN segments), the fare, relevant taxes and fees will be recalculated in full.

1.1 If the fare increases after the change, the difference in fare and taxes will be paid, along with a change fee.

1.2 If the fare is lower after the change, a voluntary refund may be applied for and a new ticket could be purchased. Alternatively, the ticket may be changed and reissued at the recalculated lower fare, with the fare difference being non-refundable and a change fee being charged. After the ticket has been reissued, any further changes or refunds shall be calculated according to the new fare, and the difference between the new fare and the previous ticket fare will not be refunded.

2 The change fee will be based on the segment of the journey being changed. If multiple segments are changed at the same time, the highest applicable change fee among those segments will be charged.

3 A change fee is required for each change. Change fees are non-refundable upon ticket refund.

4 If the flight date is changed together with other types of changes, or if multiple segments are changed at the same time, only a single change fee will be charged. If changes are made separately, a change fee will be charged for each change.

5 Except that infant tickets that do not occupy a seat are exempt from change fees, all other tickets will follow the same change policies as adult tickets.
