Travelling with Infants

  1. 1. We welcome babies who have been born for 14 days (or 90 days) but are under 2 years old to become our little travelers.

  2. 2. Domestic flights: When infant passengers travel, they must be accompanied by adult passengers who are over 18 years old and have full civil capacity and accompanying capacity. The cabin class of the infant and adult passengers must be the same, and they must be seated in the same cabin class as the accompanying adult passengers according to the purchased ticket. The price of infant tickets for domestic flights is purchased at 10% of the regular adult ticket price for the same flight, or at other applicable ticket prices, without occupying a separate seat; If a baby needs to occupy a separate seat, they should purchase a ticket according to the child fare under Hainan Airlines' transportation conditions. International and regional flights: When infant passengers travel, they must be accompanied by adult passengers who are over 18 years old and have full civil capacity and accompanying capacity. Unless otherwise specified, infants shall purchase infant tickets at 10% of the adult applicable ticket price for the same flight, without occupying separate seats; If a baby needs to occupy a separate seat, they should purchase a ticket according to the child fare under Hainan Airlines' transportation conditions.   1. 1. Baby bassinets are only available for international flights that use wide-body aircraft.

  2. 2. Baby bassinets are only available for infants under two years old who weigh less than 11kg and are under 72cm tall.

    3. Due to the limited number of bassinets available for each flight,If you require the bassinet service, please contact the ticketing office directly affiliated to Hainan Airlines or call the customer service hotline +86-898-95339 at least 24 hours before the flight departure.

  1. The number of infants allowed to travel on a specific type of aircraft is limited due to safety regulations issued by the Chinese Civil Aviation Administration.

  2. If you plan on travelling with a baby, please inform the ticketing agent when booking your ticket, after confirmation that the maximum number of infants allowed as not been met then tickets can be issued for you and your baby. If you arrive at the airport with only your ticket purchased and if the maximum number of infants has already been met then your itinerary may need to be changed.

  3. Applicable routes for occupied infants: Only applicable to Hainan Airlines international and regional flights operated by A330 and B787 models (excluding codeshare flights), as well as Hainan Airlines domestic flights operated by A330 and B787 models departing from Haikou, Beijing, and Xi'an (excluding domestic charter flights and codeshare flights), with a limit of 2 occupied infants per flight.

  4. On routes suitable for occupied infants, one adult passenger is allowed to carry two infants (one occupying a seat and one not occupying a seat). When carrying only one infant, they can apply for occupied seats or not, and occupied infants must apply for a child seat in the cabin before purchasing tickets.

  5. Except for the situations mentioned above, each adult passenger is allowed to bring one infant.
