Delayed/Damaged Baggage


If your bags does not arrive with you on your flight, Hainan Airlines will assist you in locating it and returning it to you as soon as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.


We will track your baggage with our Baggage Inquiry System and keep you up-to-date with the progress. If you need any assistance, please contact the local baggage inquiry office or dial our baggage service hotline, or click here to check the status and recorded information of you delayed baggage.


  • If your checked baggage is damaged, please ask the staff before leaving the airport, or contact us within 7 days from the date of arrival of the flight.


Upon locating your baggage, we will inform you immediately and deliver it to the designated address you have provided.


Hainan Airlines will take responsibility for any loss, damage, contamination or partial loss occurring during the period we are transporting your baggage. Baggage compensation may be divided into the following categories: temporary incidental expenses, compensation for loss of baggage, loss of articles inside of baggage (pilferage) and compensation for damaged baggage.


Governing law: Applicable provisions of the Warsaw Pact, and requirements governing baggage compensation under the Civil Aviation Law of the People's Republic of China.
